This card game appeared in Russia in the 19th century by adding the game to 17th-century "Marriage" of trade rules. In Russian speaking areas it is known as Tysiacha (Тысяча) and in Poland it is Tysiąc - both words mean 1000, the target score for the game. As well known in Western Europe under the name "1001" and with slightly modified rules.
