Players take the role of avid patrons of the arts seeking to gain prestige through their support of the best artists and scientists that history has to offer. In each game you choose to nurture the development of 63 of the greatest thinkers and artists spanning three distinct time periods (from the Middle Ages to the twentieth century) and covering fields as diverse as literature, the Arts and Science.
