The aim of the game is to be the first person to reach the end, using your bluffing skills.
On each player’s turn, they pick a card, then, without showing the card, they say the colour and move forwards to the next space of that colour without showing card. So if they say red, they skip past all colours until they reach a red space. If they land on a symbol, they perform that action, which are on the next page.
Red is the most common card and moves you the least and pink is the rarest card and moves you the farthest.
Orange spaces are likely to have bad symbols and purple spaces are likely to have good symbols.
The first person to get to the finish wins, but since the last space is a red space, you need to get a red card to get to the end and finish.
If you are near the end and there may be no more spaces to move. If you get a pink, but there are no more pink spaces, you have to stay still and wait for your next go.
When someone draws a card, they are allowed to lie and say any colour, as the others cannot see the card.
There are many reasons to lie, such as: to move further, to move onto a good symbol and to avoid a bad space.
Because of this, it is useful to look ahead at the nearby spaces before your go.
If your lie is unconvincing or too good to be true, then other players can call your bluff, this must be clear. Once everyone is given a chance to call the players bluff, the round is over and the next player can draw a card.
If you did bluff, the first player who called your bluff moves forward with the colour which you lied about. You move back 5 spaces, but if your original card was going to land on a bad space and this is worse than moving back 5 spaces, you land there instead. (It’s up to the other players to decide which one is worse).
If someone calls your bluff, but you told the truth, you show the card, and you can move forward with two colours rather than one. If your first colour is a good symbol, you perform that action first and then move to the next colour. You ignore any bad symbols for this go. The other player moves backwards 5 spaces and ignores any good symbols.
You can only ever use a good symbol if you are moving forwards, so if you move back 5 spaces onto a good space, you cannot use it. Similarly, if you are being rewarded, for example for landing on a forward arrow or for calling a bluff, you can ignore bad symbols. So symbols like the star make you immune to bad symbols on your next turn.
