Oros is a mid-heavyweight, land-colliding, volcano-erupting, mountain-making, action-economy strategy game that involves worker placement and manipulating a shared environment like a giant puzzle of plate tectonics.
Note that this build has the most recent iteration of the game and might include things that have not yet made it into the rulebook. The build includes a set up for 1–4 players using the small map side of the board and automa and 3–4 players using the large map side of the board.
If playing on the 1-4 player small map side of the board, the set up is staged for four regular players. Any player mat can be flipped over and the pieces adjusted for playing against an automa. To do so:
- Unlock and flip over the mat
- Move the Follower pieces off the mat
- Remove the leftmost two ability caps and line the rest up along the bottom dotted lines of each column.
- Place the deck onto the draw stack area of the player mat
Each automa deck and mat varies in play-style and difficulty.
The bag near the ziggurat holds one piece from each player and is used to choose a first player.
