Lead With Precision
Battle for Empyrean is a two-player strategic card game where you take command of a historical or mythical army and clash across three simultaneous battlefields. Each pre-made 24-card game deck represents a distinct civilization with its own identity, mechanics, and tempo — from disciplined Samurai to cunning Vampires. Your goal: accumulate more Might than your opponent on two out of three battlefields after ten rounds. Victory doesn’t come from luck — it comes from foresight, tempo, and precision.
You begin with a fully constructed deck and a shared resource: Essence. Each round gives you just enough to make hard choices — whether to deploy, hold, or pivot. Managing Essence isn’t just about efficiency; it’s how you control the pace of the game and create pressure.
Every card counts. You’ll see your entire deck over the course of a match — unless a card effect shuffles it. That means every decision is visible, every risk calculable, and every misstep costly. Battle for Empyrean rewards memory, mastery, and timing.

Pure Strategy. Zero RNG
Each game flows through six clear phases: Begin, Draft, Command, Deploy, Reveal, and End.
Each round, players draw cards, deploy units face-down to contested battlefields, and reveal them in sequence — activating abilities, applying Might, and reacting to battlefield conditions. Initiative order follows the First Player Token, which switches sides at the end of every round.
Three Battlefield cards shape the terrain of the match. Each features two unique effects that influence card play, resource economy, timing, or zone control. These battlefields are randomly chosen at the start of the game, ensuring no two battles play alike.
There are no dice, no auto-resolves, and no random card draws mid-round. All outcomes are earned through open information, clean sequencing, and strategic reading. Play too early and you may lose tempo. Wait too long and the battlefield may shift against you.
This isn’t just about reacting — it’s about decisive, informed execution.

Minimal Setup. Maximum Control
A full game takes 30 to 45 minutes, but the tension builds from the first round. It’s fast enough for a lunch match, deep enough for repeated study. There’s no deckbuilding, no mid-match drafting, and almost zero downtime.
You start with four cards, then each round you draw two and keep one, placing the other on the bottom of your deck. With a 24-card deck over 10 rounds, you’ll see nearly every card — unless disrupted by deck reshuffle effects. This creates clarity of planning and elevates each card’s value.
Decks play differently. Some reward tempo and early pressure. Others favor reactive tactics and late-game spikes. Likewise, battlefield effects push and pull you in different strategic directions. You won’t win by following a script. You’ll win by adapting and counter-adapting.
