Spirits of the Rice Paddy is a strategic game designed by Philip duBarry (Black Orchestra, Revolution!) about growing rice in Bali with the help of ancient powerful spirits.

As balinese farmers, you will be competing with fellow rice growers to construct and tend rice paddies. There’s a lot back-breaking labor involved: keeping weeds at bay, building walls, removing rocks, fertilizing the crops, and, most importantly, conserving the precious water.

The good news is that the spirits are eager to assist, granting many special abilities, blessings, and magic. The farmer who produces the most rice over seven rounds wins the game.
