Thirst - A Battle for Blood and Influence

Centuries have passed, but the hunger never fades. In Thirst, ancient vampires awaken once again to reclaim their dominion over a modern city. Shadows stretch across the streets as each clan schemes to gain power, expand their control, and feed their eternal thirst.

Currently funding on Kickstarter , Thirst is a strategic, competitive game of area control and influence for 2–4 players, designed by Tim Broadwater. Each night is a contest of cunning, timing, and survival — only one vampire will rise above the others when dawn breaks.

Unfolding the Darkness

At the start of the game, players choose a vampire lord with unique abilities and begin establishing their presence across the city. Each turn, you’ll move between key locations, feed on mortals, and recruit allies — from loyal ghouls to corrupted humans.

The city is divided into neighborhoods that you can control to gain resources and influence. But every bite, every power play, draws attention. Push your luck too far, and vampire hunters may strike back, threatening your domain and survival.

Your goal is to be the first to reach 10 Influence, representing total domination of the city’s nightlife. But the path there isn’t straightforward — you’ll need to balance secrecy and aggression, bluffing, alliances, and calculated betrayals to stay one step ahead of rival immortals.

Gameplay combines:

• Point-to-point movement across a modular city map
• Area control and influence mechanics
• Risk-reward decisions — how much blood you take, how far you expose yourself
• Variable player powers, giving each vampire a distinct playstyle

Games play fast - around 30 to 60 minutes, with plenty of room for tension, interaction, and replayability.
