Climb your way to the top of Achaemenid Empire and become a right hand of the emperor in Xerxes, an upcoming resource management game by Alcyon Creative.

Xerxes

1-4 players; 30-45 Minutes

In this boardgame each player assumes the role of one Satrap, each with his own special ability and characteristics. Every turn the players are trying to collect resources for taxes set from Xerxes, construct buildings or launch campaigns. Each player has a number of Tax and Campaign cards to resolve in order to satisfy Xerses and earn his favor (counted as Victory Points). The player that reaches 25 Victory Points earns the favor of Xerxes and wins the game; alternatively, the one with the most Victory Points at the end of the 7th round (7 years of Reign).
