Take the high ground and welcome to the core version of Front Line, a unit level, miniature warfare system for two Generals, ages 10 and up.
Two armies will fight over a battleground of beaches, cities, deserts, hills, mountains, ports and valleys. When the smoke clears: the country with a free capital and the most occupation points wins.
Players: Blitz, Displace, Disrupt, Hold, Rout and Retreat units.
All supply lets active artillery, infantry and tanks: Deploy or Attack. Three type of supply offer unique missions: Muster, Paratroop or Regroup. Any Fallen city can call upon Freedom Fighters to oust foreign occupation. You may commission leadership to offer your units: a Rally or Opportunity Fire on an opponents turn or Maneuver on any turn!
Units may also: gain City, Hill and Mountain defense bonuses, use Amphibious Landings, may gain a height advantage on hills and mountains. Players who roll poorly get the option to invoke a re-roll later in the game. All in less than four pages of clearly written and illustrated rules (thanks Chris).
Special thanks to team Avocado and the many play testers for making this game a success.
What’s next? Modular board systems allowing for 2-4 player head to head or team battles and a two-three player D Day version. So sit down, add aggression and stir.
